2016 Summer Accommodations Information for Hartman Institute Visitors

Hotel Accommodations in Jerusalem

The Shalom Hartman Institute offers discount rates at a variety of Jerusalem hotels.

Prima Royale Hotel , 3 Mendele Mocher Sefarim Street (14-minute walk to the Institute)

Shalom Hartman Institute rates for 2016 including breakfast are:

  • Room: single $130, double $145
  • Jr. suite: $170, double $185
  • As required by law Israeli citizens will be charged 18% VAT.

Guest parking available, free Wi-Fi in lobby and rooms. Rooms have complimentary coffee/tea maker. To make a reservation and receive the special Shalom Hartman Institute rates, order online and enter the corporate code Hartman. For more information contact Marlene Houri.

Mishkenot Sha’ananim Guest House , Yemin Moshe (17-minute walk to the Institute)

Overlooking the Old City, this is a small inn-like hotel in an historical building with a unique Jerusalem atmosphere. It usually houses artists, intellectuals and academics. Shalom Hartman Institute rates for 2016 are:

  • Suite: single $190, each additional person $30
  • Room: single $160, each additional person $30

All rooms and suites have a complimentary coffee/tea maker and Wi-Fi. Suites include bedroom & bath and either a living room or a gallery with kitchen. All suites have a door leading to a common balcony looking out onto the Old City. Rooms have bedroom and sitting area but do not have a balcony or view of the Old City.

Special Shalom Hartman Institute rates apply only if you book through the Institute. For more information or to make a reservation, contact Marlene Houri with your request, including arrival and departure dates, single or double occupancy, and type of room required. Payment will be made directly to the hotel upon departure. Reservations will be accepted until April 1, 2016.

Rafael Residence 70 Derech Beit Lechem (17-minute walk to the Institute)

Suites include bedroom, living, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Free parking and Wi-Fi provided. Shalom Hartman Institute rates (accommodations only) per night:

  • Comfort Suite: single $125, double $130, triple $135
  • Garden Suite: single $155, double $160, triple $165
  • To include breakfast, served at the Grand Café, add $15 per night.

To make reservations contact Lior Pedaya and say that you are a Hartman program participant.

All other Jerusalem hotels

Participants in Hartman programs receive a special rate at Jerusalem hotels through IGT, Israel’s largest wholesale tour operator. Virtually all hotels in the area are available through this offer, including the Inbal, Mount Zion, Dan Panorama, David Citadel, and King David.  To make a reservation please contact Danielle Chaimovitz-Basok .
