The Hartman Institute’s annual Community Leadership Summer Study Retreat (CLP) ran from June 25-July 2 as the opening session of the Institute’s annual summer programs. This year’s session, the program’s 14th and largest, brought 131 participants from North America, Europe, and Latin America.
The topic of this year’s seminar was, "A Time for War, A Time for Peace." Participants enjoyed a jam-packed schedule of learning with Hartman scholars from Israel and North America. In addition to the classes, participants celebrated Shabbat together, went on day trips across Israel, and heard from prominent Israeli public figures such as author and journalist Ari Shavit.
