An interview with Rabbi Prof.
David Hartman recorded several years ago with
Rabbi Mark S. Golub , a community rabbi, commentator and broadcaster, is being aired this week on cable television in the United States this week in advance of
Shavuot .

The program is being shown on
Shalom TV from June 1 through June 7. In the interview, titled, "The Meaning of Torah," Rabbi Hartman not only shares some of his own background but explains how the Jewish tradition has never endorsed fundamentalism and how the rabbinic tradition has always rejected a literal reading of Torah.
According to the company, Shalom TV is a mainstream Jewish cable television network in the United States covering Jewish life.
