A free two-day conference, October 6-7, will examine the work of Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel (1907-1972). Heschel, author of Man in Search of God and Torah Min Hashamyim, is considered on of the leading theologians of the 20th century.
The conference is titled: "A Radical Image of Religious Life: A Day on the Thought of Abraham Joshua Heschel."
The closing session – October 7 at 20:00 (8 pm) – will feature Rabbi Prof. David Hartman , discussing, in English, "Keva and Kavana in Prayer – Comparative Study in Heschel, Soloveitchik and Leibowitz."
October 7 is structured with five back-to-back beit midrash sessions, each focusing on a different aspect of Heschel’s work. Two parallel discussions are offered in each session, providing participants with choice.
