Noam Zion is a Senior Fellow Emeritus of the Kogod Research Center at the Shalom Hartman Institute since 1978. He studied philosophy and holds degrees from Columbia University and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He studied bible and rabbinics at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America and the Hartman Beit Midrash. In the past, he led the Tichon program for North American Jewish educators and he teaches in Hartman Institute rabbinic programs: the Be’eri program

We are happy to present you with three extensive packages of educational material about the Avram, Sarai and Hagar story of Genesis (Bereishit) 16 and 21.
 
The entire package is titled, "The Troubling Family Triangle: Sarai, Avram and Hagar"

Episode Two: Flight To Freedom Or To Death?
Episode Three: The Birth Of Isaac And The Power Of Laughter
Episode Four: Expulsion Of Ishmael And The Power Of Tears
 
The second part is a systematic pedagogic suggestion for examining works of art that are based on texts, and is titled, "Art as parshanut: A systematic analysis of art as commentary"
 
The third and final part is a compilation of sources from the Bible and elsewhere, titled, "Filling in the gaps."
