The Shalom Hartman Institute Library will inaugurate the Shemaryahu Talmon section of the Alvin Cramer Segal Library , December 29. Prof. Talmon has dedicated this collection of 10,000 books, mostly in the area of Bible studies, to the Shalom Hartman Institute in memory of his parents, Yom Tov Lipman and Hannah Zelmanowicz, and his sisters, Gerda-Leah and Regina-Rebekkah, who perished in the Holocaust.

Both David Hartman and Donniel Hartman will deliver addresses, as will Prof. Avi Sagi, who acted as agent for the generous donation. Finally Prof. Talmon, who won the Israel Prize in 1997 for Bible Studies and is Professor Emeritus at the Hebrew University’s Department of Bible, will also deliver an address.
