Be’eri holds seminar on challenges of Israeli-Jewish education

Two-day seminar enriched school principals and Be’eri program coordinators and deepened their knowledge and understanding of the educational challenges that the Be’eri program continues to tackle

A Be’eri program seminar on "Jewish-Israeli Education: Revisiting the Big Picture," took place at a Jerusalem hotel.

The seminar began with back-to back sessions led by Rabbi Dr. Donniel Hartman and examined the challenges of Israeli-Jewish education, as well as analyzing the new Israeli "tribes" in the classroom.

The seminar participants view the Cameri theater production of The Dybbuk, a Jewish mystical drama about love, redemption, and death.

Early on Friday morning, the participants made their way to the new Bialik House, where they were treated to a lecture on Bialik’s philosophy, life, and poems by Dr. Motti Zaira of Midreshet Oranim. After a tour of the site, the seminar closed with a lecture by Ron Margolin on ceremony and lifestyle in the Israeli school.

This two-day seminar enriched its participants – school principals and Be’eri program coorinators – and deepened their knowledge and understanding of the educational challenges that the Be’eri program continues to tackle.
