A conference about women in the Talmud being held in memory of Chana Safrai, a onetime Shalom Hartman Institute research fellow who died in 2008, is set for March 7-8, 2011, at Hebrew Union College in Jerusalem. Chana participated in Hartman Institute Theology Conferences and published several books. Her last book, "Nashim Bachutz, Nashim Bifnim: Mkoman Shel Nashim B’Midrash, was co-authored by Institute fellow Avital Hochstein Campbell.
