iEngage Webinar Series Attracts Hundreds of Viewers

Episodes have drawn more than 1,000 to hear the iEngage perspective on current events

In November 2011, the iEngage Project at the Shalom Hartman Institute launched its first 6-part Webinar series "Major Challenges Facing Israel through a Jewish Values-Based Lens.” Hosted by SHI fellow and iEngage team member Dr. Tal Becker, the series has already drawn close to 600 viewers eager to hear an iEngage perspective on current events effecting Israel and through Israel Jews around the world. While the majority of these viewers hail from North America and Israel, the Webinars have attracted a global audience with viewers from the Australia, Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland, and the UK.

In addition to watching the proceedings on their computers, participants join the lively chat that takes place on the Webpage on which the presentation is broadcast. Tal and his guest lecturers join this discussion to answer questions, adding an interactive feature to the program and engaging participants actively.
